Making the Connection

The Video Messenger Menu contains items

that relate to establishing communications

between the VM-3 and the PC. The important

items for the basic installation are the VM

Interface and Verify Connections…

The VM Interface Menu contains three items:

None, RS232, and MIDI. Selecting RS232 will

open up the RS232 Settings window.

The VM Interface Menu

Inside the RS232 Settings Window click on

the Find VM button. The VMConsole will find

the VM-3. On most PC’s the VMConsole will

find the VM-3 on Com 1.

The Program will alert you that a connection

has been made. When the connection is

established, you are ready to proceed.

(Note: make sure the VM-3 is powered up)
